Justin Verhoog

I am currently at University/College at Brock University and Niagara College. I am part of the GAME program and am in the programming stream. The GAME program is a partnership between Brock University and Niagara College where at the end of my four year program I will receive an honors bachelor of science and a three-year Advanced Diploma in Game Development. Throughout my four years I will learn many things including basic computer science skills, game engine fundamentals, and how to design and program a game that has both good game mechanics and a good story.

My hobbies include Magic the Gathering, Chess, and Dungeons and Dragons. These hobbies have taught me many skills including critical thinking, planning ahead, and how to create interactive stories and environments that my players enjoy.

I graduated high school a semester early by doing classes in the summer my grade 10 and 11 year. After finishing high school in February 2023 I got a job working at PTMG. PTMG is an accounting office in my local town. There I worked on many different projects including excel projects, personal tax returns, and a small project with Power BI. Working at PTMG taught me many skills including, how to work efficiently in an office environment, time management, working independently, and more.
